1/05/2009 Zelda II review
Mention The Legend of Zelda and NESers will profess their loyalty to the game. Mention the sequel, however, and you won't get as much lovin'. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was released a year after the sequel, and Nintendo decided to experiment with it a little, trading the top-down view for a patform RPG style. Many fans were turned off by the changes, but this review shows that different games can work if given a chance.

BTW on the new-format reviews, you can now click the screenshots to get a normal-sized version of them.

11/21/2008 Darkwing Duck review, in a new format
Most gamers who watched the Disney Afternoon TV block of the early 90s remember a show called Darkwing Duck, a DuckTales spin-off featuring a caped duck who fought crime with some cool gadgets. It was no surprise that Capcom made a game based on it since they did the same to the other shows in the lineup, and since Capcom usually had a good track record with Disney titles, this should be a fun title as well, right? Click here for a review to see if D.W. follows the trend of great Disney games, despite a resemblance to another famous Capcom franchise.

You'll notice that this review is done in a new layout, which I hope everyone enjoys. I hope to have the other reviews coverted to the new format as well in the near future.

11/07/2008 Mega Man III review
Sorry about the long sabbatical. I haven't abandoned this site, nor plan to do so in the forseeable future. I've just been busy with other things in my life. Rst assured I'm still going to keep this site going, and in fact have some things planned in the very near future, including a new design for the game reviews.

Anyway to today's update. Mega Man was good, Mega Man II was better, so Capcom naturally followed up with a third game in the series, Mega Man III. Most other third games in a series prove to be the best of the lot, but does MM3 follow the pattern? Click here for a review.

8/21/2008 Track & Field review
With the Summer Olympics going on in Beijing, today's review is for Konami's Track & Field, a port of the original arcade title that introduced the world to button-mashing your way through the Olympic games. Click here for a review to see if this game is still a medal contendor.

7/16/2008 NES Open review
The NES is home to many golf carts, but only Nintendo's NES Open Tournament Golf features Mario and friends enjoying a quick round on the links when they aren't cleaing pipes or stomping Koopas. But if you look past the Mario influence, you may find an excellent golf title. Click here for a review to see if this game is par for the course.

Also the Links page is finally up and running again.

6/26/2008 Metroid review
Today's review takes a look at the third of Nintendo's 'Big 3' franchises, Metroid. This began the adventures of Samus Aran that manky gamers have followed for many years. But after nearly two decades of sequels and remakes, is the original still worth your time? Click here for a review.

5/27/2008 Nintendovision fixes
Not much of an update this week. Just wanted to try and plug some of the holes I've yet to fill since I moved over to the new host. I re-added two TV show articles to the Nintendovision section, Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Video Power season 1, complete with a bunch of nice screengrabs. I'll try to fix most of the missing sections in the near future.

5/19/2008 Wayne Gretzky Hockey review
It's a known fact that great sports figures don't always endores great sports games. One prime example of that notion is TH*Q's Wayne Gretzky Hockey. Gretzky may be the greatest hockey player ever, but sadly his name is found on one of the worst hockey titles ever. Click here for a review to see how bad this title is.

4/28/2008 Hockey special feature
Our second special feature is up and ready for viewing. With the Stanly Cup playoffs in full swing, many hockey fans are turning to their systems for a hockey fix, so we have a special look at hockey games for the NES. You can check it out here.

7/16/08 - We finally got a new NES title on the Virtual Console this week. Too bad it's Donkey Kong 3, the least liked of the original DK trilogy.
